Some refere to Larvikite as Black Moonstone, although it is not a Moonston, at all. Most likely due to it's flash.  It is believed that the stone would protect you from any harm, and if you're not in good shape, the stone will cleanse all the evil and negative vibe with your body and increase the positive chakra balance throughout the day.
Black in color, however, this stone can have a blue flash or a silver flash. It is believed to have so many abilities and a healing nature to those that own it.  It is said to guard against dark enegy and promote a healthy root chakra.
